County Line
Quilters website was re-launched January 1, 2006 at:
www.clquilters.org. While the guild did have a website launched back in
December 31st, 1998, it eventually died off when the hosting
service ceased being provided. Guild members decided reviving a website
would be useful for the guild in many ways. So at the November 8th,
2005 meeting, guild members voted funds to secure a domain name for 2 years
and web hosting services for a year. As no website can be everything to
everyone, specific goals for the new website were developed that guided the
design and content and these are detailed below. See

Website Goals
- Goal 1 – Address Basic
Newcomer needs
- Make it easier for potential
newcomers to learn about the guild and come to a meeting
- Make it easier for newcomers to
understand when and how things happen
- Protect visitor privacy,
including at meetings, activities, their work and contact info
- Goal 2 – Address Basic Member
needs
- Make it easier for members to
understand when and how things happen
- Make it easier to transition
office responsibilities between members
- Make it easier to prepare for
guild quilt shows or events
- Protect member privacy,
including any work and personal contact info
- Goal 3 – Provide Community
context
- Make it easier for potential
quilt show attendees to find and attend the next show
- Make it easier for potential
quilt show advertisers to sponsor aspects of the show
- Make it easier for anyone to
understand how the guild contributes to the community
- Protect and support copyright
laws.
- Goal 4 – Easy transference to
future web masters

The guild web site will
NOT:
Publish any picture of members or visitors, their work or any their
activities unless express written permission has been provided or unless if
the image was from a public event.
Provide any member or visitor phone, address or email information unless
express written permission has been provided.
Provide designs or patterns or instructions unless express written
permission has been provided or unless the materials have been provided from
