What is the Lake Shore Farm Pond Getaway?

Lake Shore Farm is a rustic country inn ( www.lakeshorefarm.com ) located at 275 Jenness Pond Rd, Northwood, NH, 603-942-5921.

Each June starting in 2004, anywhere from 15 to 25 guild members stay for a weekend at the farm and quilt for 2 1/2 days straight, stopping only to enjoy meals provided by the inn.

Besides the original farm house, there are newer annexes connected. They have a total of 32 rooms under 1 roof. Most rooms have a view of the lake (which you can swim in) but no TV's, radio's or phones. Some rooms have air conditioning. There is a large barn style room (which is not air conditioned) attached to the farmhouse that functions as a general workroom for quilters.

The Lake Shore getaway weekends are a self-funded event. Individuals who want to participate are responsible for all their own costs, and sending in deposit on time. The guild does not cover any of the costs. Cost per person for the entire weekend was approximately $150 total and included room and meals.

For the June 23-25,2006, cost was $92.50 for a double room with twin beds or $140 for a single room also with a twin bed and included Fri and Sat night lodging as well as Fri dinner, Sat breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast. Deposits of $60/person were mailed to Harry Ring at Lake Shore Farm Pond.
