Community Service
 
County Line Quilters strives to cultivate the personal growth of our members through education, challenge projects and community service. Over the years, the guild as supplied direct donations of quilts, clothing and basic necessities for residents in local communities and sent supplies and care packages to quilters who have been impacted by natural disasters. Below are some of the other outreach activities the guild has been involved in.
 
2010 - Creating and donating comfort quilts to the Dana Farber Cancer Center of the Milford Regional Hospital is an ongoing project. 
 
2009 - Creating and donating comfort quilts to the Dana Farber Cancer Center of the Milford Regional Hospital is an ongoing project. Pre-cut kits are available at meetings for members to take and complete at home or members can use their own ideas and stash to create comfort quilts. 2008 -
Members created and donated over 50 "comfort" quilts to the Dana Farber Cancer Center of the Milford Regional Hospital. The guild was pleased to support this new unit and provide a tangible comforting item to those undergoing treatment. Block kits were cut during the year using guild stash fabrics and a coordinated effort was made to create diverse settings and unique vibrant finished quilts.
 
2007
Members collected and donated paperbacks, playing cards, toiletries, snacks and other items to to the "Goodies for the Troops" campaign sponsored by the V.F.W Across American group. Members also made small lap throws for wheelchair use that were given to St. Patrick's Manor Nursing Home in Framingham.
 
2006
Members collected over 100 pounds of fabrics, yarn, sewing notions, patterns and quilting magazines and donated the items to a local Framingham school teacher who coordinates shipments of these kind of supplies to a Guatemalan women's cooperative.

The guild hosted a local Framingham Girl Scout troop, and over the course of several meetings helped the girls earn basic quilting steps while creating their own quilted pillow.
 
2005
Members completed and donated over 40 quilts to the Shriner's Hospital. A majority of the quilts were constructed during in April 2005 during all day quilting event at the Natick Senior Center.

Members also pooled crazy quilt blocks to create a quilt for the Natick Senior Center to use as a raffle to raise new construction funds.

2000
Members completed and donated approximately 20 quilts to Police and Fire Department early response teams in the Metrowest area.
 
1999
Members completed approximately 15 "Quillows" (quilts that compact down into a pillow) and donated them to the Abbey House women's shelter specifically for children at the shelter.
 
1998
Members made head coverings for cancer patients and helped work on the Worcester Senior Center Quilt Project.
 
1996
Over the years the guild has provided Abbey House with several raffle quilts to help them generate operating funds for the facility.  In 1996, the guild presented Abbey House a special 10 year anniversary celebration quilt which they display in their entryway. The guild also converted approximately 12 quilt tops from the Willows in Westborough into finished quilts which were then donated to the Aids Baby outreach program.
 
1995
Members completed numerous quilts tops supplied by the Willows nursing home to provide finished quilts to area hospitals.
