Guided Noodle Soup Strip Exchange

At the November 28, 2006 Program meeting we will be running a Noodle Soup event! A noodle soup is where you exchange fabric strips of a predetermined size -- 2.5 inches for this one.  One yard of fabric will yield 14 - 2.5 inch noodles.  For every noodle strip you bring in, you will get a different one back.  This allows people to get a great variety of fabrics for a coordinated scrap quilt. Below is an example of what can be made from this type of exchange. So come and bring your noodles! The noodles will be swapped and you'll get a diverse set back.  You can bring you sewing machine and start that night or just come to swap and socialize. Ironing board and iron will be provided setup for general use.

The Guidelines for the Noodles:
1)
All strips to be in  Autumn Colors: Red, Gold, Orange, Green, Brown.
2)
Bring equal number of Light and Dark noodles (creates the right variety for the quilt)
3)
Please use good quality fabric (100% cotton preferred)
4)
Please do not use novelty prints.

5)
You do not have to bring in a yards worth of noodles to participate. You can bring more or less but the yardage should be a split of light and dark fabrics. For example, you can bring in 7 strips of deep green and 7 strips of a light gold.  This would be approx. one yard of fabric and give you 14 different strips at the end.  The more you bring, the more variety you get back.
