Ugly Quilt Contest

Admit it, we've all made one. A quilt we didn't want our name attached to.
Maybe the colors weren't quite right, or you just hadn't quite mastered a technique yet.
Maybe it was so ugly you didn't even want to finish it.
Well that's the perfect item to bring to the Ugly Quilt Contest!

Bring your ugly item to the Ugly Quilt Contest.
Item can be a finished quilt, an unfinished quilt top, or even just a block set.
Deliver item with all labels completely covered so the item remains anonymous.

During the business part of the meeting, the ugly quilt items will be hung up for display.
Each item will be tagged with a number to identify it for voting purposes.

Now what is ugly is pretty subjective.
What is ugly to 1 quilter is fascinating, interesting and downright beautiful to another!
So there are 2 aspects to the contest.

At the end of the meeting, members will vote for the ugliest quilt.
Then they will make a 2nd vote for the item they would happily take home if they could!
There will be prizes for the winner in each category.

The more entries there are, the more fun it will be!
This is not only fun but a great learning experience too.
So bring out the uglies!
