New England Quilt Museum: New exhibit: Kinder Komforts – Amish Crib Quilts - March 4 – May 9,

2010 Opening Reception: March 6, 2010 @ 1pm – lecture by Bettina Havig “The Amish Lifestyle &

Their Quilts. These quilts, intended for children use and made for hard wear, were not expected to become

heirlooms and shed new light on Amish quilting.

During the Kinder Komforts exhibition, the museum also features the late Dorothy Bosselman’s miniature

replicas of Amish quilts. These miniature quilts were created for a spring 1990 NEQM exhibit and were

recently acquired by the museum.

Fuller Craft Museum, Nancy Crow: Crossroads/New and Recent Quilts January 30 — April 19, 2010

This exhibition, in Fuller Craft’s Stone and Barstow galleries, presents her asymmetrical designs using

elegant hand-dyed fabrics of highly saturated color. www.fullercraft.org
