About County Line Quilters
We are a group of approximately 55 enthusiastic quilters based in the MetroWest area. Our guild is unofficially non-profit with a focus on uniting regional quilters, including teachers, collectors, authors and historians in order to advance the art of quilting. We strive to cultivate personal growth of our guild quilters through education, challenge projects and community service as well as celebrate the social outlet quilting provides. We are a social and hands-on type of group that enjoys demonstrating and sharing techniques and ideas.

The guild welcomes all ages and ability levels, including beginner. Meetings are generally held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, Sept thru June unless otherwise noted in the meeting schedule. Meetings are held in the Southborough Library, at the intersection of Rt.30 and Rt. 85 just off Rt 9. This location is handicapped accessible with ample and well lit parking. Meetings begin with a 30 minute social & hospitality time from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by either a business meeting or program meeting from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the latest.

The Business meeting is held the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Business activities include check ins with different officers and chairs about ongoing activities for the year. Members are encouraged to update the guild on fabric sales, new quilt stores, or community service initiatives at the Business meeting. Business is generally covered within an hour with remaining time reserved for members to participate in show and tell about their individual projects.

The Program meeting is held on the 4th Tuesday of the month. Programs are usually free to guild members but sometimes open to both guild members and outside visitors for a nominal fee. Programs during the year generally include 1 nationally or regionally known quilt teacher. Other program activities are usually less formal but equally informative. Past activities have included: training workshops where guild members teach each other, slide shows, guest quilters and their quilts, specialized fabric trunk shows, quilted vest workshops, silent auction of quilt related "stuff", quilt challenges, round robin exchanges, and block lotto's.
