Please gather your CLQG Sew and Tell quilts (or whatever you would have shared had we been able to meet in person) and send a photo to Wendy by September 3rd. Her email is in the September Newsletter. When your quilt comes up during the slideshow at our September 10th Zoom meeting you will narrate your quilting particulars for the guild so we can hear all about your work. This should be a big improvement on trying to move your laptop or phone over your quilt during our Zoom meeting and not really capturing the full beauty of your artistry. 24th - Program meeting – CLQ Members Showcase of Work Wendy has graciously volunteered to put together a slide show for our viewing pleasure. On the weekend before the meeting (9/19 & 9/20) please send Wendy (her email is in the September Newsletter) photos of your Sew & Tell. Feel free to send a couple of photos if you want to highlight different areas of you quilt. During the meeting, when your quilt is up on the screen, you will have an opportunity to speak about it. 8th - Project meeting - Sew & Tell Send Wendy (Her email is in the September newsletter) photos of your quilts by Sunday October 4 to be included in the Show and Tell. Feel free to send a couple of photos if you want to highlight different areas of you quilt. During the meeting, when your quilt is up on the screen, you will have an opportunity to speak about it. 22nd - Program meeting – Marge Tucker presents The Good the Bad and the Ugly Marge Tucker is an international award-winning quilt artist. The first quilt she made, over twenty-five years ago, was for friends expecting their first child. She started with traditional pieced quilts and is now focused on abstract design. Nov 14th, Saturday from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. Zoom workshop: Eel Grass & Eddies with Marge Tucker During this 3 hour workshop Marge will show samples of her work, demonstrate the technique, allow time for sewing and clarification questions and then bring us back together for finishing tips. Since workshops are not covered by the guild, attendees will need to cover her very reasonable fee of $300. Please rsvp to Ellie or Fran.
